Testimonials
My time at Stanford Technical Institute (STI) as an instructor was a transformative experience that profoundly shaped my life and career. The academic environment, along with the development of my communication and technical skills, instilled in me a lifelong passion for learning in the field of Information Technology.
The owners of STI not only imparted knowledge but also cultivated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, which constantly challenged me. Their mentorship extended beyond the classroom, inspiring me to pursue continuous improvement. The collaborative spirit and family atmosphere fostered at STI enabled me to work effectively in diverse teams, a skill that has proven invaluable in my professional endeavors.
The practical experience I gained through my employment at STI prepared me for real-world challenges. I learned to apply theoretical concepts to actual problems, adapt to changing technologies, and communicate technical information effectively to various audiences.
During my time at STI, I had the privilege of teaching high school students computer science and guiding them through the process of building their own computers. This experience refined my communication skills, deepened my understanding of fundamental computer concepts, and ignited a passion for sharing knowledge with others.
Today, as a lead systems administrator, I draw upon the strong foundation laid at STI. The technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaborative mindset developed during my time at STI have enabled me to excel in my role and contribute significantly to my organization's success. STI's commitment to excellence continues to inspire me, and I am grateful for the invaluable opportunities it has provided.

From a young age, I was taught the value of starting small and building a solid foundation. I began with the basics—learning about technology and how things work behind the scenes. Through learning basics through advanced skills, at 17, I ventured into networking, a topic that wasn’t initially thrilling but offered the opportunity to expand my understanding. This early exposure laid the groundwork for what would become my passion. I later transitioned into System Administration, practicing on my parents' network, where I gained more hands-on experience and deepened my knowledge—all while doing something I truly enjoyed. I obtained this foundation while attending Stanford Technical Institute, Inc (STI).
By 23, I was working full-time in the private sector while also attending Bowie State University. Juggling a full-time job and attending evening classes was tough, but I kept my eyes on the bigger picture. After graduating, I shifted into government contracting as a System Administrator at 26. By 28, I had moved into cybersecurity—a field that excites me every day. Today, at 29, I made the bold decision three years ago to move to Germany, continuing my work with the U.S. government overseas while earning additional certifications to grow further in my field.
The foundation I built early on stayed with me throughout my career. Today, I use the basic and advanced troubleshooting skills I learned as a child to solve complex security challenges and teach others about the importance of cybersecurity in their everyday lives. Along the way, I’ve never stopped learning. Whether it’s developing an iPhone app or tackling personal projects in my free time, I’m always seeking ways to improve and grow.
My journey is a reminder that with determination, a love for learning, and a willingness to take risks, anything is possible. Having attended STI opened many doors and equipped me with success.

My mom signed me up for Stanford Technical Institute, Inc. (STI) when I was 8 years old. Since day 1, I always knew I wanted to be in the IT field once I was older. Fast forward, now 30, I have reached high goals because of this Program where I obtained my skills in CompTIA A+ and Networking before leaving the program to enter college. I received my CompTIA A+ certification thanks to STI. Currently, I am an ITSM SME (working with an application called ServiceNow). I was able to obtain a top secret clearance & make well over 6 figures. I have my CompTIA A+, Sec+, ITIL V4, CSA & CSM certifications, as well! I highly recommend you take this Program & pay attention; your life can change for the better quickly and prepare you for the evolving technologies.

Taking courses at Stanford Technical Institute, Inc. (STI) was instrumental in launching my career. The comprehensive curriculum and hands-on training equipped me with the skills needed to secure my first role as a Workgroup Manager at Andrews Air Force Base, Clinton, MD. With just graduating high school the income was way past what I imagined.
Once I received the job offer, I reached out to the Director, Mrs. Stanford, for additional training in database management, system security and updates. Without hesitation, Mrs. Stanford started to prepare study materials for me. The support and guidance I received gave me the confidence to excel in my role, handling computer updates and security patches. This strong technical foundation prepared me for the up and coming roles I worked in. From Program Analyst at the National Science Foundation to accepting a higher position there as an Incident Manager at their help desk/contact center. The training I received from STI also prepared me for several tech support roles with large government agencies and even explored software engineering as a front and back-end developer. Under the guidance of STI, I was able to get great training that I highly recommend to anyone wanting to elevate their careers up.
Today, I carry a technical training role position. I absolutely love to teach. I plan to one day teach the youth the power of information technology in the DMV area following the teachings of Mrs. Stanford and staff at STI.

I am an alumnus (2002) of Stanford Technical Institute, Inc (STI). STI is an amazing immersive program that takes detailed steps in ensuring a student’s comprehension into the evolving world of technology. STI has allowed me an established career within Prince George’s County Public Schools as a Control Coordinator. Due to the extensive computer training I am able to create and maintain school websites, build student information databases, maintain software applications across multiple platforms, troubleshoot computers and printers, and assist families with technological guidance.
After my completion of the STEP Program, I am proud to say that I have returned as an instructor to give back the impeccable knowledge that I received. It is an honor to pass down the hands-on training to others who maybe struggling with the ever-changing world of technology. Working with STI feels like family. Mrs. Stanford’s (CEO), devotion to her students and staff, her brand is unmatched. I have ABSOLUTELY no regret in this Program and trust me you will not either.

I was a part-time instructor at Stanford Technical Institute, Inc. (STI) for 2.5 years between 2007 and 2009 and was awarded best instructor 2007-2008. Students learned MS Business applications, computer repair, internet skills, and more. My employment at STI was a major facilitator of the approval of immigration applications to Canada and getting my first job as a Business Analyst at a Canadian-based International NGO. Today, I am an Informatics Specialist - Lead at a major Healthcare System in Southern Ontario where I support clinical application development including facilitating training and creating training materials for front-line healthcare workers. I have a debt of gratitude to Mrs. Stanford and STI for providing me with an opportunity for service and progress in my career.

I attended Stanford Technical Institute, Inc. (STI) and learned several MS Office and other applications. Although I held a B.S. degree, I needed the technical aspects of Information technology to promote my education. These programs helped me tremendously by giving me a wide-ranging knowledge which greatly improved my skills. The greatest benefit was learning information technology and gaining confidence to land a dual position as a Special Education Teacher-Assistant and an Intersession Nutrition Teacher which today has allowed me to advance even higher in my career and income using the skills taught to me at STI.
